Our experienced
groomer is trained to help keep your pet looking its best. Besides
providing professional service our groomer is compassionate and
patient when handling your pet. She will groom to your
specifications or recommend styles that fit your pet's lifestyle.
She will also instruct you on how to keep their coat healthy between
visits. She can even brush your pet's teeth for you to keep their
breath smelling fresh!
Our grooming shop operates by appointment only. It is
recommended to call a couple of weeks in advance, because grooming
spaces fill up quickly. Silvia's groom shop is a low volume shop,
which means that she only takes a few dogs a day, so she can
dedicate more one-on-one time to your pet.
If you have to cancel an appointment, please have the courtesy to do
so within 24 hours, so people on a waiting list can be notified and
your spot can be filled.

Silvia Bertolazzi
About Our
Groomer
Silvia Bertolazzi is an enthusiastic pet lover. Her four legged
family includes four dogs - Stella, Romeo, Anais, & Tito Bandito, and one cat,
Asterix. As an ABKA certified Pet Care Technician she served as
office manager of The Kennel for our first three years in operation.
When we discontinued grooming services in 2003 because we couldn't
find a qualified AND compassionate groomer she decided to pursue her
career as a professional pet stylist. She graduated from grooming
school in May 2003 and has been at the Kennel ever since. Her
genuine love for pets and talent for grooming have kept her
appointment book full. Silvia's unique gift for gaining the trust of
shy or difficult dogs has earned her the nickname "The Dog
Whisperer". She loves all breeds and specializes in senior dogs and
those with special needs treating her clients' pets as if they were
her own.

Continuing
Education
Our groomer believes that there is never enough to learn, and tries
to attend National grooming seminars at least twice a year, to keep
up with the newest technologies and practices. She is also part of
an international internet groom board, where people exchange ideas, questions, and where anything related to grooming is discussed.

VIP TREATMENT
Silvia tries to give each pet individual attention. If your pup
likes other puppies, she will let him play with the daycare
group before the groom. If your pup doesn’t like cages, she will
let him rest in the grooming room, or let him sit on the couch
in one of the Kennel’s luxury suites. If your pooch is afraid of
loud noises, she will not use the force dryer, but towel dry
him.
Her goal is to make your pup as comfortable and happy as
possible! |
FURMINATOR
We are excited to offer the newest de-shedding tool on the
market, the FURminator. The tool, used as part of a special
procedure, is designed to reduce shedding in long and short haired
