We offer many
different training options from basic obedience to tricks, in
private and group settings. We use humane, modern methods, tailored
to meet the needs of your dog.
Currently we offer Puppy Obedience,
Private Training, and "One-on-One"
Sessions with the trainer.
FunStuff
We are in the process
of setting up classes that we call FunStuff. These would teach your
pet tricks such as "shake", "roll over", "play dead", etc. Our
trainer will show you how to teach your pet to do almost anything.
Once you learn the techniques you can train your dog to do many
other tricks at home.
We also plan to offer Agility training. This is an obstacle course
for dogs. Your dog will climb, jump and balance his way through the
course. It's great fun to do and to watch, and great exercise too!
We are currently constructing our training yard and will start
classes this spring.
We'll have more details available soon, check back with us if you're
interested. We'd be happy to put you on the list and call once we
set up the schedule.

Training Philosophy
At The Kennel, Inc. we know
how important your pet is to you. We also know that proper training
can make a good pet a great pet, and a companion for
life. Training can prevent or treat many common behavior problems
such as biting, barking, jumping, chewing and digging.
Training also helps to socialize you pet. As pack animals, dogs
learn and respond to what they are exposed to in their environment.
Meeting and playing wit many different dogs and people (socializing)
produces a well adjusted, friendly dog less likely to develop these
serious problems such as aggression and separation anxiety.
Our trainers use modern, humane techniques to train your pet to your
specifications. After reading about the options you can choose the
one that's right for you and your pet.
